In December 2017 I joined the Healthcare onboarding team. This was a great role to get a foot into the world of HR. The team were so friendly and supportive so I went for the opportunity to move to Central Services as a HR Admin. I knew that my line manager would support me to move forward with my career. Whilst I was a HR admin I was exposed to all elements of HR and I was given the chance to support our HRBP with some exciting projects for the company whilst I was completing my CIPD level 7 – Human Resources Management course. The company allowed me to be flexible with my hours to ensure that I could balance home/work/study whilst still ensuring that we provided a great service to our colleagues on the ground. Since this, I was promoted to HR Co-Ordinator within Central Service and I have undertaken an apprenticeship, paid for by the company, to help support me to fill in the skills gap that I had so that I could continue to progress within the business. In my current role as a Regional HR advisor, I get to work closely with our Operational Team to ensure that colleagues and Managers are getting the support and advice that they need to be able to provide our young people with the best care possible. Seeing the work that is done on the front line with our young people, whether that is in our school or in a residential setting is so humbling and amazing. It makes any challenges that we may face worthwhile.Apply for Corporate Services jobs
